Corex is a syrup sold by Pfizer Inc.. It is available in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and a few other South Asian countries. But, corex is a prescribed medicine. Its active ingredients are chlorpheniramine maleate and codeine phosphate. Corex T Syrup is a combination medicine used for the symptomatic treatment of a dry cough. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with this medicine due to the increased risk of side effects such as dizziness, lightheadedness, depression, impaired judgment, fainting, etc. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you consume alcohol during treatment with this medicine
